Hello all! Been a LONG LONG time! I've acquired equipment and accessories, and had more practice in different areas, I just haven't had time/felt like uploading everything, so to whom it may concern I will leave my new Flickr account page here: www.flickr.com/itsmrbubbles
I've had my Sony Alpha 350 DSLR for a while, but now I've recently become more serious about the trade and have significantly upgraded my shooting capabilities with a major flash, more serious tripod, and dedicated, nice sling backpack to take my gear out into the wild safely.
With all of my memory cards, rechargeable AA flash batteries, rechargeable camera batteries, and sturdy tripod, I should be able to have long photo-shoots non-stop till I reach around 8,000 shots, or till my battery assortment runs out... O.o
I'll go more fully pro with some sharper results once I get my hands on a wireless shutter I'm looking at, and get some higher-end glass (looking at an awesome 50mm Sony lens that outperforms Cannon lenses in the same class). I've already made HUGE improvements with my new flash, and my creative abilities just exploded in options with my newfound lighting power.
If you own or look forward to owning a Sony Alpha DSLR, GO FOR THE Sony HVL-F58AM flash! You will NOT be disappointed. This flashgun is probably the best you can get for the entire Alpha line, it IS what the professionals use, and it performs like a charm. Some pros get around four of these monsters for full-on studio or even portable studio lighting. And yes, this flash comes with a stand that allows it to stand free or on a tripod, working wireless and commanding other flashes wireless.
Yes I'm still excited about this flash... No it wasn't cheap, though I saved over $100 off of the retail price and around $50 more if you include tax! Yes it is worth it.
Please check out my Flickr account for now, and maybe some time I'll upload here again, but I've still not decided on whether I'd like to invest the time uploading to multiple sites atm...
Hope you enjoy my new works, and sorry for the absence! Hard to believe that I've amassed almost 4,200 views so far...
